Why fit matters more with MOFF

Our sandals aren't just leather on a flat sole — the footbed is doing real work underneath your foot. Getting your size right means the arch support, metatarsal dome, and plantar fascia relief all land exactly where they need to.

Here's what's built into every pair:

  • Arch support — lifts the medial arch to reduce overpronation and support both flat and high-arched feet
  • Plantar fascia accommodation — allows the plantar fascia to stretch naturally as you walk, rather than being restricted
  • Cuboid lateral arch support — supports the outer edge of the foot and helps equalise forces through the ankle
  • Metatarsal dome — positioned just behind the ball of the foot to offload forefoot pressure, helpful for conditions like metatarsalgia and neuromas
  • 8mm heel-to-toe drop — a moderate pitch that supports a natural walking position without straining the calf or heel

Our story...

Hi, I’m Millie, the founder of Moffootwear. As a British-trained podiatrist, I spent years grappling with one frustrating question: What sandals can I wear if I need orthotics?

The answer? There weren’t any. I searched everywhere for stylish, minimalist leather sandals with proper arch support—and found nothing. So, I decided to create them myself.

My inspiration came from both personal experience and my mother’s struggles. She has fallen arches and bunions, and every summer, she faced the same problem—finding sandals that were both supportive and beautiful. Most options were clunky or just didn’t offer the right support.

I spent years perfecting custom orthotics for her trainers and casual shoes, but sandals were a constant challenge. Stick-on arch supports weren’t cutting it. I knew there had to be a better way.

My journey began in Singapore, where I worked as a musculoskeletal podiatrist, treating everything from ankle sprains to bunion pain. With year-round heat and humidity, sandals were a necessity—but proper support was always lacking.

Determined to change that, I took my first official business trip to Vietnam, the heart of Asia’s leather and footwear industry. I was on a mission: to find a manufacturer who could bring my vision to life—a sandal with a true orthotic footbed.

With years of experience designing orthotics—complete with arch support, metatarsal offloading, and plantar fascia accommodations—I finally had the perfect design. All I needed was the right sandal to match.

At the exhibition, I found the ideal manufacturing partner, and together, we brought Moffootwear to life—a sandal that’s as comfortable as it is beautiful.
